I endorse this product.
For either an animated desktop or animated screen saver, these would be nice options to consider.
A setting to show off each races ships (and hanger environments).
The ability to set it up with a selection of different vessels.
A setting named "random" is always fun.
Since it will probably be limited at first for various reasons, release little expansions for it from time to time.
I think this would not only keep EVE fans entertained, but be an excellent way to show off the beauty of EVE to virgin eyes. People I work with hear me speak about EVE from time to time with my friend here that plays, but a picture (especially an animated desktop back ground) is worth a thousand words.
Besides, if you have a desktop or screensaver dedicated to your game, that puts you in the gaming communities "mile high" club.

Indeed, I suppose you could consider it a "stalker" thread, persistantly lurking about.
And CCP Prawn, excellent... and thank you for letting us know that in the midst of post expansion chaos that this little jewel has not been forgotten.
I still think that this thing running on work computers all over the place could draw more attention and trial subscriptions than one would first think.

The one that said they would try to squeeze this in sometime after things settled down after the expansion?
Or the one you thought you heard, but really didn't.
Whenever they get to this is fine, they know its something a lot of us would enjoy that is very much above and beyond the call of what we have any reasonable right to "demand".

You appear to be laboring under the misconception that its still cool to be mindlessly disrespectful to people you are asking a favor of. That went out around the same time as Punk Rock. Time to brush your teeth, mow that mohawk, and get a new attitude.
Also, playing multiplayer games is virtually a job requirement at CCP. 
Interest is still high.

Thanks CCP. These are very, very nicely done and work very well as desktop backgrounds or screen savers.
I do understand Pottseys point though. While some people don't mind the (albeit very slow and smooth) motion in these video's, the more stationary ones from fan fest do have some appeal for those that get distracted by the movement behind their applications. That being said, I'm certainly not voicing any complaints about these video's. They are wonderful.
I still love the idea of having an interface with drop down lists of which ships are shown, but that's a whole different kettle of fish and I am sure well beyond the scope of this little side project.
